I earned my undergraduate degree in English with a minor in history from Memorial University. I then went on to earn my graduate degree in education with a focus on teaching English as an additional language from the University of Calgary.
Experience
I am a full-time teacher with more than 3,500 hours of experience teaching ESL students. I am a member of the ATESL and also the President-Elect. I have been tutoring high school and elementary students since 2013 and volunteering with ESL students since 2010. I am a motivated tutor who aims to help new immigrants and students improve their comprehension and writing skills. I can tutor ESL students in a wide variety of subject areas at all grade levels. I am additionally able to offer tutoring in a variety of courses in the field of English and help students improve their organizational and study skills. This includes AP English courses such as AP English Literature and Composition.
